Born 10 July 1835 in Lublin, died 31 March 1880 in Moscow, buried 7 April in Warsaw. Polish violin player and composer. Son of a surgeon – a man of vast interests in the humanities – and a pianist, daughter of a Warsaw physician and sister of an outstanding pianist, Edward Wolff.
